Star of stage and screen Gareth Gates has thrown his support behind the Fostering Network’s annual awareness campaign, Foster Care Fortnight (13-26 May) to encourage people to get in the frame and think about fostering. If all the children in care in the UK today were brought together they would fill the Olympic Stadium in London. The UK’s foster carers look after most of these children, almost 62,000 on any one day. And with the need to recruit 9,000 new foster carers across the UK during 2013, the Fostering Network and our supporters are asking you to open your heart, and your home, and put yourself in the frame to consider becoming a foster carer.
